Emily Redman, LCSW

About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily Redman. Being a therapist is more than my job; I truly believe it is my calling in life. I returned to school as an adult and completed my undergraduate and Master's degree while growing my family. I'm a mom to three kids, ages 5 to13, and have a 2-year-old golden retriever. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, adding to my Spotify playlists, playing tennis, and spending time in nature.

What are your biggest strengths?

I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I can help with untangling complicated emotions to reveal a sense of purpose in life. Searching for a therapist can feel daunting, especially if you're already struggling. I have nearly 10 years of experience in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, suicidal ideation or attempts, self-harm, trauma and abuse, and substance use.  I've worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and facilitated individual and group therapy.

What treatment approach do you use?

My approach to therapy is to walk alongside my clients in their journey as a fellow traveler, providing guidance and evidence-based psychotherapy theories along the way. I excel in working with young adults, adults, and women who are navigating abusive relationships.
